Thanks Clare, Well we picked the car up today and I drove it home, I really like it (not as much as my own) but the knocking in the roof really needs sorting, My wife says it doesn't really bother her as it sounds like a proper sports car, lol, she has spent most of the day driving it, this is a first as she usually gets me to drive everywhere. Anyway TaF when you get back we need to book into your workshop. Pics to follow.
You do just get used to the copens little noises! They are part of its quirky features! Why not come along to the KKITP meeting in Birmingham in a couple of weeks, I'm sure someone will be able to talk you through how to improve it. Either that or your wife wants it left so that you never borrow her car.
Birmingham, when and where? If we're free would love too. don't worry just seen the details, will hopefully be able to make this.
Hmmmmmm.....a long thread and not a single post from "Jane" herself.....beginning to wonder if "Jane" might be a sort of beard for the real "James" who is unable to admit he's actually fallen in love with a Copen, like the rest of us daft buggers on here
We will all look forward to meeting you and Jane there - just to prove to Old Badger and TaF that Jane really does exist
honest gov, we really do both exist if she doesn't i've just wasted £70 on a duck feather mattress topper. One more thing, the roof does have slight rattles and creaks but after more investigation tonight, the sound i'm referring too is a more (heavy) metallic sound that comes from behind, but only over bumps.
Give this method a try and see if it helps. It is supposed to be quite simple to do! https://www.copenworld.com/community/threads/roof-rattles.80/#post-211
That's because I was in Pembrokeshire I don't cause any chaos, I just go around trying to sort out DaGs mess!
LOL, You two !, Anyway we're at the other end of the A50 in Stoke, so quite close really. TaF if you were being serious about having a look at our roof please PM us as I'm a little worried about screwing it up myself, obviously small rectangular sheets of paper with the Queens head on it will given to you in exchange. Thanks
Wow I heard about the toilet and scatter cushion incident through my own sources, infamous is an understatement!
Copenistas, It was my wedding anniversary on Thursday and as it was a lovely sunny day so I unearthed the Copen from its hutch and took the present Mrs Ned for lunch at Don Paddy's in Uppingham. We took the scenic route to Des Moines and before long the following conversation ensued. Mrs Ned - "There's a lot of rattles and noises in this car" Ned - "Yeah, good init ?"
When I bought my Copen the dealership told me they were a special feature. I had a Nissan Figaro before so he assumed I was used to the quirky special features of small Japanese cars.
