My son's best friend since childhood is getting married this weekend - and he and his bride-to-be have asked to use the Yellow Peril to drive away from the reception! I'm so proud... :')
Definitely! - although it will be dark when they leave. Mind you, that car's going to be so clean it'll be glowing...!
Hi, glad some one else wants to do it, we got married in ours last year, the ribbons on the bonnet and tin cans tied to the back looked really cool!!!
Hi, Jezza - they certainly did!! It was a beautiful wedding, and everything went extremely well - no major hitches. Unfortunately it started to rain just after the Yellow Peril had been bought round to the front of the building and decorated, so my son - the best man - was running to and fro in response to cries from various guests of, "It's raining! Put the top up!" "It's stopped! Put it down again, quick!" "It's raining again! Put it up!" But the bride and groom got to do what they wanted to do, which was drive away with the top down in a Copen with tin cans tied on the back, ribbons on the front and light-up balloons dangling out of the doors. And I'm still waiting to get it back...! With my son, the best man... *proud* I know the pictures aren't very good; it was dark, cloudy, and bucketing down, but at least you get the idea!
Really glad all went well !!, Dad took issue with the fact my wife drove us from the reception !! As the missus pointed out... I did buy the car for her so why shouldn't she drive !!! If I knew how, I'd post some similar pics... hope they give the car back soon, they may fall in love with it a bit
