The website has had a few software updates today, including updates to the forum software and some security updates.

I've also made some tweaks to the style of the website.

As always, if you spot any problems, please let me know by replying to this post on the forum.

Was the CSS changed? The theme seems different :)

Yes, the theme has been changed around quite a bit.

I've kept the same basic colour scheme, but there are quite a few changes to the style and layout. It's the kind of thing I can fiddle around with for hours and never get it quite how I'd like it to be, but I'm a bit happier with it now! There are a lot more changes I'd like to make, but I guess it'll be a gradual process as time permits.

Did you enable 2FA as well during this update binge? I saw it in the profile settings, and have it setup on my Google Authenticator

It's a new feature in the latest version of the forum software - it's not something I've specifically set up, it's just a (non-optional) feature that's automatically made available.

I must admit, I haven't even tried it, so I don't know how well it works. Let me know how you get on if you try it, assuming you can still get in to the forums after using it ;)

Been using it for two days, and it works like a charm. I use the Google Authenticator app for various things already (securing SSH on my Linux boxes, Gmail, Github, etc) so it was a doddle to setup for Copenworld.

Install the apps (Authenticator and the barcode app), scan the barcode shown, input the TOTP to confirm it's setup, account secured.

Good to hear that it works well, thanks for testing it out. I must give it a go some time!

Yes, unfortunately I had to change it due to some support problems with the base theme on which the last style was built.

I've had to completely rebuild the style on a new base, and although I've kept it broadly similar, there are quite a few differences.

I've been using the old and new styles side-by-side for about a month now while I refined it, and I'm now preferring the new one over the old one, but layouts are very subjective and always down to personal taste.

I'll be continuing to tweak the new style when time permits, so if you've got any specific issues that you think need changing, I'm always happy to look at suggestions for improvement.
