Hiya I need to replace my Copen's damaged internal carpet (Drivers foot well). I am after a new or used complete carpet in very good condition. Does anyone know if I can still order a new one from Daihatsu from Japan or has anyone got one they want to sell to me? Any help appreciated. Thanks
You can still order a new one from Daihatsu, but it is well over 400 quid as far as I can remember. How about cutting a new one from automotive carpet. This would be a lot cheaper. Wanted to do this myself at one time, but never really had the guts to do it. My carpet is in too good condition to tamper with it
£400! Bloody hell, anyway I have contacted a couple of part suppliers in Japan let hope its a good news. I have also contacted a couple of guys breaking Copens in the UK so fingers crossed. Cheers
Hi Soc, I'm in the same situation, my Copen didn't have any carpets when I bought it last Tuesday. Did you have any luck with your contacts and/or with second hand ones? I would rather have the original ones with the "Copen" logo. They do look smashing... I would consider aftermarket ones though...
Hi When you mean carpets are you referring to the mats which go over the factory fitted carpet on the Copen floor or the actual factory fitted carpet? I sources an actual factory fitted carpet form a Car Breaker because the person who owned the Copen previously did not have mats and their heel must have worn the carpet just below the pedals. Removing damaged factory fitted carpet Sprayed cavity wax whilst I had the opportunity. Replacement carpet fitted from a scrapped Copen which was obviously looked after and had only 10k miles on the clock.
