    Hello,

The short answer is no! I tried several different ways to remove mine and i think i broke each one in a different way. Saying that although they broke they were all still able to clip back together and feel sturdy.

You need to rotate the vent ring and the assembly behind it by about an eighth or a turn either left or right and then the whole thing should pull out. the problem is there are 4 (top, bottom, left and right) little plastic tabs that stop this. You can try and cut these off using a sharp thin knife (as described on the French copen site) but i found the ones i did this to where harder to refit and line up correctly.

In the end i got 4 plastic wedges i had (for taking iphones apart) and wedge them between the dash and the vent ring lift out the plastic tabs allowing me to rotate the vent ring and remove. Problem was the plastic clips on some were quite brittle and didn’t give so they cracked and split. Bit of super glue fixed that though and when they were refitted you would never know.

Hope that makes sense, wish i had taken pics now!
