I'd meant to do this at some point this 'Summer' but was rapidly running out of weekends where I was free and the weather wasn't too bad. Rare things indeed. Finally got around to it last Saturday. I know others have done similar and there's loads of good threads on 'how to' etc so I won't bother with that. I used smoothcoat hammerite for behind the bumpers and a combination of brush on and spray on under seal for the underside and arches. Paper overalls are a must! Messy stuff. The car is a 2008 1.3 model with 50k miles on it. Think I've caught the rot in time. There was only a light rust rash behind the bumpers on this car so hopefully with this work I'll have many rust free years ahead.
