Hi, has anybody used the android Torque app with a 2005 copen 659cc turbo? Ours keeps throwing up the odd cell but with the garage charging £35 a pop to check/clear the code it's getting expensive! Has anybody has success with this app or is there another which definitely works for android phones (galaxy s4) or even any good iPad/iPhone apps that's worth considering? Also what's the recommend obd2 Bluetooth dongle to use? Thanks Dave
I use torque app on a galaxy but for the 1.3. The problem I find is the Bluetooth device. I also use car gauge.
I use torque pro on my 659 turbo and it appears to work very well. It has provided code info that was corroborated by a Snap-on diagnostic scanner. The fault code clearing function also works correctly.
Thanks for the replies, I've just bought Dash Command from iTunes for my iPhone/iPad which is heavily discounted on the App Store, £6.99!!!! Was well over 30 quid last time I checked!! Just need the dongle to match then all systems go
I have the pro like threadbare and it cleared my codes too. £7 and that was heavily discounted! Torque pro cost me £3. But it may have more functions.
Yeah the app was really expensive when I checked a few weeks ago, I'm sure it was around £35!! Figured I'd better snap it up before the price goes back to normal
I'm presently saving up for a new professional code reader, the DaG OBDII Pro. When plugged in it does grumble for a while and you get some unfunny screen comments but in the end you get a quality decision. Its also compatible with BlackEye connectivity. Its apparently great for storing in the garage, comes with its own dusty top shelf.
Are there any OBD1 bluetooth devices available? Reason I'm asking, I recently put in a Hondata ecu in my Ferio and it's OBD1.
Just had a drive in the car, it's pretty accurate and just off what the cars mapped for. The torque's a little high (mapped for 409 ft/lbs), powers a little off (320bhp) and boost is way above the boost request (1.4 bar) Speed seems to be bang on as is rpm. Slight delay of maybe 0.5 secs from the cars data to the screen but over all a good app. I'll have another play tomorrow when it's dry & see how it does with a couple hard pulls in 3rd & 4th
Bloody iPhone!! Sorry that was in my Saab, must have predictive texted it out again, it's been playing up all week I'll get a log of the copen tomorrow What bhp/torque should the 659 turbo be putting out as standard?
Just a remap on this one budd. Cars currently at stage 1, ill sort the IC & downpipe after Christmas then stick a stage 3+ map on there. Aim is to get back to stage 5/6 after the summer http://www.jzwbmwtuning.com/product/saab-93-v6-hp-tuner/
