Hi all, I read that parts are a bit difficult to get hold of? Really fancy one though, can anyone shed a little light please? Thanks.

In my experience, any past Daihatsu dealership that now does Toyotas (or other marques) can import parts for you (usually takes about 3 weeks).
But any normal service items like filters, etc. are easily available in your local car parts store.
I haven't had any issues finding parts I need in my years of ownership.

58 reg. R40 red 1.3 Copen; now gone, I'm afraid.
    11 reg. MX5 2.0 Kendo
    68 reg. BMW 1 Series
And there are also loads of sellers of parts on eBay, etc. (both garages & private individuals).

We're also considering a purchase (live in the UK). What is second hand parts availability like? What are prices like for spares?

Ok, thank you, I would like a .7 engine, I see it revs at 4.5rpm at 70mph, maybe the 1.3 would be a better bet as I love to drive my cars on B roads and M/ways, just trying to find a nice one at my budget of £2500 ay the moment in Hampshire, if anyone on here has one for sale, please get in touch, thank you.
