Hi I was wondering if anyone new of a garage in the london area who would help to increase the performance of a copen.

I am considering getting a copen and have driven one in the past and enjoyed it. I would like to get a bit more power though and give it a bit more of an interesting exhaust note.

Does anyone know of anywhere someone would be willing to help me do this? And which is the easier engine to tune the 659cc or the 1.3l?

Thank you very much for your help.

Lllyod comes highly recommend by the north essex rag tops car club for which i am chaiperson.

Many members have used them for everything from race prep an mx5,chipping up my own MGTF,keeping hot rods with wild v8's running smoothly etc etc.

We did chat about upgrading our copen a while back but at the time it was the wifes main car so decided fuel saving was important, just bought another car so maybe in the spring......

Tuning wise I would say the 659 has a better scope.
    Bigger turbo, bigger intercooler.
By fitting a boost gauge, a FCD (fuel cut defender) & a boost controller. You can increase the boost on the standard set up for extra power.

Ok I will have to give him a ring for some advice.

I would like to go for the smaller turbo engine as it is cheaper, but I'm just a bit afraid of servicing intervals and putting to much stress on such a small engine.

Generally kei car engines are detuned to fit below the 64bhp maximum. So they're not overally stressed. This leaves scope for tuners.
If it's anything like a Suzuki Cappuccino engine, 130bhp should be possible.

    I know it's a game but in Grand Turismo 5 I have ( if I remember correctly) a 204bhp Copen!
