It's been a long wait, but it's nearly here. Now I'm starting to get really excited.
Booked my ticket about a month back.
I'm a massive fan of the book, since being introduced to it back in primary school.
I've been watching all the Hobbit trailers on You Tube. I've listened to some of the preview snipets of the soundtrack on Itunes. Now I'm about to relax & begin listening to the unabridged audio book.

    Five days to go. :D

Yes I want to see it too. read the book a few years ago, just before the LOTR films came out. I've not watched any snipets it to be new as I watch it.

my confusion is, what has it to do with this site?.........does Bilbo drive a Copen? its small enough for a hobbit. I can't wait to see the Hobbiton Daihatsu garage.

This section of the forum is to talk about anything!
We don't have to talk about Copen's all the time. :p

I heard that Daihatsu pulled out of the Middle Earth market due to the unfavourable exchange rate

I've never seen any of the LOTR films and talking to People I seem to be in the minority on this. I know somebody with a box set of them, I might borrow them over the coming holiday period and see if they are any good.

I'm biased, but the LOTR trilogy is fantastic. If you can, see the extended versions.

I was only joking Adam, keep your aluminium roof on! It was just a leader to the continuation of my message.

I've got the extended box set too. Not everyone's cup of tea but I enjoyed it so I should the Hobbit too. So give it a go DaG.

Adam, out the LOTR 3, what is your order of favourite?

I've read the book -- The Hobbit -- long ago, and liked it very much. However, I couldn't finish the LOTR book, everytime they walk they walk for many many pages doing nothing except suffering. I always fall asleep watching any of the three LOTR films too.

    Only when it's raining. ;)

Tough question, I think I'll go for the Fellowship. Loved the Balrog.

The LOTR books are slow going in some chapters. Try the BBC radio play. Very good.

Just got back from the flicks.
    The Hobbit was fantastic. :D
Yes, the start didn't have much action, it didn't need to be as the story telling was beautifully done. Erebor was stunning. Rivendell was amazing. Thorin Oakenshield was well cast. Bilbo & Gollum playing the riddle game was brilliant. My favourite dwarf so far is Balin son of Fundin. Got to go see it again during the holidays.
The waiting starts again for the next part.

When is the next part, is it a year again like with LOTR, then another year for part 3?

I might wait 2 years, get the extended boxset and watch it all in once go :)

Don't forget that copenworld is actually published from New Zealand where the films have been made, although there aren't any hobbits working on the website.

Come to think of it though, I'm not very tall .... and I do have hairy feet
