    Hello I'm Ben from Burnley,
I have recently purchased this MOT failed Copen. The corrosion is quite bad but I intend to repair it, I removed the rear arch liners, bumper and boot carpet and this is what I found...

I think I've got my work cut out.

Materials shouldn't be too costly so I'm going to repair it. If everyone just scraps these cars for the sake of a few hours/days work there will soon be none left. Cheers for suggestion though.

I feel like every week I see a copen on the Facebook group being scrapped for parts due to a little rust.
Glad you're trying to keep this one alive (even if it would be expensive/hard work)

Looks like hard work! I hope everything goes to plan and you are able to salvage this fantastic car from the scrap heap!

I’m not so skilled at the bodywork as you’ll need to be - good luck! But for what it’s worth I spent a fortune at a coachworks getting rid of the rust on mine (almost as much as I paid for her...) and I’ve never regretted a penny - absolutely a car worth rescuing! Enjoy.

wow thats a lot of rust! Not an easy task and sometimes if the rusts dont get cleared out completely you may find new ones growing.. If you ever managed to get those rusts cleared out, do satisfy our curiosity by sharing the after photos here. ^^ Good luck!
