Hi Have bought a new one from Turbo Repairs http://www.turborepairs.com/. Moreover you get 2 year warranty. You have to send back the old/faulty turbo. They do not supply any gaskets, so you need to get some from Daihatsu dealer or reuse them. My local Daihatsu Bransgore garage supplied all of of them. New turbo priced £750.00+vat, delivered, 2 year warranty. Have tried buying a second hand but they all have some cracks, so not in good condition. can you not get them rebuilt? must be cheaper than buying a new one, try the turbo centre in derby 01332 202100, they rebuilt a scooby turbo for me for less than £300.
Have tried rebuilding it with different companies but no luck. Basically they do not have any parts/repair kits for Copen turbos.
copenforlife is my good friend here in Singapore. He got his turbo rebuilt for a staggering SGD$1300, that should be about £660, ironically same engine cap for our Copens here.
