    Hi

i want to remove the back spoiler on our 1.3.

    anybody did this before? how?

Can it be done without damaging the paintwork?

I am unsure if the spoiler is held on with bolts or not.

Might be best to get a panel beater to remove it and fix anything like glue residue if it's holding it on. The paint will also be slightly different under the spoiler due to non-fading.

Fitting a spoiler to a turbo model certainly involved screwing holes so I think you're stuck with the spoiler

    spoiler removal

    Hi,
the spoiler is held on by bolts through holes in the boot lid, the nuts are accessible through access holes in the boot, it is also stuck to the boot with 3M double sided tape which sticks really well, you will need to apply heat using a hair dryer to soften the adhesive then gently pry the spoiler off using a thin scraper wrapped in soft cloth to prevent damage to the bodywork, once you get it started it will come off with a good tug.
Once the spoiler is removed you can soften the remainder of the adhesive using the hairdryer method then by rubbing with your fingers you can roll the tape off.
Finally clean up the surface using spirit wipe or solvent, you will be left with some holes in the boot lid and possibly some colour difference.
Why do you want to remove it? if not refitting it I would be happy to purchase it from you for my second project Copen.
    Hope this helps

I removed the spoiler, it was more work then I thought.

It was a little disappointing because there were a lot of holes for all the plastic clips.:(

So I will assemble it as it was. Maybe somebody would make a trade or something of a complete boot door without spoiler in steel gray metallic.. 2006 model 1.3

I will post a picture later
