Hi, It appears that my 2002 Copen has an intermittent speedometer fault. It works and then, very very occasionally, it doesn't. Then it works again Does the speedometer get its input from an electrical or mechanical source? I have looked through the service manual but I can't spot it anywhere.
The speedo uses electrical pulses. I remember some years ago finding the cable using the circuit diagram, so I could connect it to a pioneer stereo (to give automatic volume adjustment). Rex
Hi Rex, Thanks! That narrows it down a lot. I can ask the garage to now check the electricals as it seems to be so very intermittent. I go back to the 1970s when the speedo used a real cable going into the front wheels and then, later, into the gearbox
