    Hi, does anybody know the correct sparkplugs for a L880K 2002 (jap import) automatic 660cc 4 cylinder engine please?
    We had the local mechanic change them and said the ones that were in were too short. Just wanted a second opinion before we go and get another set of replacement plugs.

    Hi David,
    I use NGK 7658, IFR6J11 (most suppliers I could find list them by the IFR6J11 number) in mine. I believe this is one of the Daihatsu-prescribed options.
    Photo of the plugs in my little parts number reminder thread here.

    Hi - I just replied to your previous forum post but this is what I found just to connect things up:
    Here are list of Daihatsu part numbers for service items:

    Sump plug washer is: 90044-30281-000

    For information the size of the washer is:
    ID = 12.2
    OD = 19
    THK = 2.3
    (mm)

    Oil quantities required for a 659 turbo engine:
    If you're just changing the oil, you need 2.5l.
    If you're changing the filter too you need 2.7l.
    5W-30

    Castrol Magnatec 5w 30 A1

    Oil filter = 15601-97201-000

    Air filter = 17801-97206-000

    Spark Plugs NGK part number: IRF6J11 - thanks for this!!!

    To get the oil filter off you might want to buy this tool:
    Daihatsu part number 09228-87201-000 - Wrench Oil Filter.

    That's the wrong oil, you need ACEA A3/B4. A1 oil is bullshit

    ACEA is just short for European Automobile Manufacturers' Association. It's the european counterpart to the API oil grading system.

    Just any oil that has ACEA A3/B4 classification will suffice. A1 oil has a low high temperature high shear viscosity (HTHS), which is supposedly good for fuel consumption but will wear the engine out more.

    Just look closely when buying oil, it will say so on the packaging. I use 5W40 with Mercedes-Benz 229.5 approval, which conforms to ACEA A3/B4 (see screenshot)

    Hi, thanks for the advice! I looked at one of our oil containers (we have several engines from generators to tractor to Skoda Citigo and now this Copen) and I never noticed that rating was there at all. I'll change my shopping list to A3/B4 :)
