I'm convinced there was a thread on here that mentioned a specific silicon sealant to use on the various door, window, and roof seals. I think it was called something like "Stumpf" and was German but I can't find it now. Can anyone point me in the right direction please.
Silicone rubber treatment is called "Gummipflege" But the word you are probably looking for is (Unterboden-)Schutz, which is undercoating. Both products are nothing special, its a generic name. I hope this is what you are looking for
I think you were after - Einszett 1Z Rubber Care Stick Gummi Pflege You may want to try DuPont Krytox. This was the default rubber seal rejuvenator for VAG. I have used it on my Copen seals since purchase. The seals have survived the extreme Australian summers well. I clean the seals with soapy water, gently scrubbing with a toothbrush, and rinse before application.
I use PlastStar from Koch Chemie Rubber and plastics, external | Detailing | Koch-Chemie Its preddy gud
Thanks guys. Touch wood, I've only got a couple of minor leaks at the front of each window where the seal has the additional drain at the top. I gave it a wipe and it seems to have cured it but I've gor the Einszett 1Z Rubber Care Stick from Amazon and will treat it with that first (after wash and rinse).
