    Hi,

Just wanted to know if any of you had your Copen serviced at large chains of mechanics? Halfords, KwikFit etc?

IF so, what was your experience of it.

For a full Service KwikFit want £160 and Halfords £191.

Found two independent mechanics that want £190 and the other £140.

Car now at 29k, so I'd be interested to see how you've got on with them in the pass. I do have a regular mechanic that I use for a lot of work over the years, but at £190 I wondered if cheaper alternatives are an option.

    Let me know your feedback.

Do it yourself ,not many tools required and plenty of advive on here for how to undertake it.

It can be quite satisfying to complete the task yourself and considerably cheaper:D

will never go near Kwikfit again. Took a car there years ago for service (not Copen) and they said I had to have the exhaust replaced. I didn't have it done and it passed 2 more MoTs after that without the exhaust being replaced.

Unfortunately those lads are on pretty poor wages ,one way to make up there salary is in "sales" commission on extra work done .That`s why almost every customer who goes in are advised there vehicle will need X Y or Z.

Always get a second opinion somewhere else.

I know morally it isn't right but the lads are just trying to up there wages.
