It's a pretty common problem it seems. I wonder if this would fix it? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal...prox-3-5-Metre-Webbing-E4-Rated-/161719284232
I solved my seatbelt retraction problem by spraying the length of the belt with furniture polish (foam type). With the seat belt fully pulled out I just sprayed it on and let the belt go in and out a few times. It's not quick but it does retract more than it used to.
Problem is with the guide on the seat and the anchor points. There are a couple aftermarket and DIY fixes available. I had the Kumoi Motors guides on my standard seats and they improved things marginally. Photos courtesy of Japaneazi. Others have simply adjusted the position of the stock plastic guides.
