It seems like a common problem. The boot seal has started to let water in and even though I have dried it out from the early heavy rain we experianced this year it must have got in to the ECU. Has any one know of any contact to enable me to get hold of a replacement.
Hi They are breaking a Copen on eBay, may be worth a call? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Daihatsu-...8031251?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3a959a7693 KS PS: Just a thought....my ECU got soaked many times because of the leak but was never the cause of my roof problems.
Hi Mine was a combination of faulty sensors on the left hand side assembly and a problem with the boot catch. What is actually the fault/problem with your roof/boot? What is the roof indicator light doing and when? KS
run a flash test as it will pin point were your problem is, there are a number of senors and micro switches that all need to work for the roof to work there is also a window ecu that talks to the roof ecu that needs to be working before the roof works if you down load the manual from here https://www.copenworld.com/index.php?pageid=directory and work your way through it, i would personally run a flash test of the ecu as its the quickest way to narrow down your search
Thanks for the help guys. I will look to try testing this weekend, The roof indicator light comes on when uncliping the roof catches and thats as far as it gets , I have managed to open it via the hydraulics
