Ok so after 110,000 miles my 13-year-old .7 engine died in the heat, on the A3 during the extreme heat 4 weeks ago.

Have a replacement engine being fitted - any tips for the mechanic, please?

He is a good mechanic, races stock cars and knows his stuff, but has never seen a Copen before.

Any top tips I can pass on to him, please?

    Thanks.

And thanks to BarryCopen for the Ebay tip, found one with 63,000 miles and a turbo attached for £400 - good old ebay!

Used to have a White Copen, but I sold it in 2023
Check all the parts on the new engine- clutch, pulleys, belts, timing chain, engine mounts etc. Now is the best time to change them if they need replacing

What actually happened to the old engine?
If it was something major you might want to make sure you properly clean out the intercooler, radiator and any other pipes etc that where connected to the old engine.
Might be a good idea to replace pipes while your at it.

    But...

I need an Expansion Bottle Cap with the Straw Attached, please.

    I have a 0.7l on a 54 plate.

I will look on ebay now.

Yes, it was me on the Hard Shoulder of the M25 just before Junction 17 Clockwise at 9am today!

    Thanks
