Just had a new middle exhaust section fitted. I used the Kwikfit garage on Histon road in Cambridge; I've used them before, and would again. Took her in on Saturday, and they put her up on the lift, showed me the split and said they'd order an exhaust in for me; rang me this morning to tell me it was here, and they fitted it within half an hour of me getting there. The man I first spoke to loved her, and when one of the other workers went to drive her off the ramp, he shouldered him out of the way, saying, "Gerroff! My car!" Good job, done quickly and professionally, with a three-year warranty, and at £172.91, easily £100 cheaper than the local Daihatsu dealer would charge.
Glad your impressed Mrs P (and no I don't work for them!) Kwikfit can be surprising sometimes. I know when I was looking for tyres, they were the cheapest I could find at the time, but you must order on-line for the best prices - don't just turn up! Also if you look at their web site regarding exhausts, they promise a 15% discount for printing out you appointment and taking it with you. Is this a genuine discount? Who knows, but it might be worth a try. Rex.
