Hi All, it’s been a while since my last post but my good lady’s Copen radiator has sadly developed a leak and will need replacing. Has anyone got any top tips with regard to sourcing a new one or re-coring?

Yes, buy an original one. Not to expensive.
I looked at getting new tanks made but its twice the cost of new one.
Took 3.5months to arrive with the Covid crap, but the alloy ones from Japan are quite a lot bigger and will need some mods to fit properly. I figured the original lasted 130K+, in fact I havent changed it yet.
My mechanic said to watch the tank colour as it turns a brown type of colour not the black it once was.
This is common with Euro cars as the tanks are mostly plastic now.
When this happens it becomes brittle and prone to cracks and leaks of course.
I am replacing mine before that happens just as precaution.
You may want to replace the top hose as well as its very cheap so I bought one too.
