as anyone had the problem that when the door is open and the ignition is off there is a pipping noise, and if you have what is it?
If you open the door of the copen with the head lights on there is a "pipping" sound to warn you that you are leaving the car but have left the lights on. Turn the lights off before opening the door and you wont hear it.
dwayner also happens if you leave the keys in the ignition when you open the door but dont do that, since the car locks itself after 30 seconds if you forget.
thankyou everybody, you do appear to be a friendly helpful lot. noise now gone thanks to Adam K, I had unintentionally knocked the fog light on, only had my little car 3 years and never knew,
That's worth knowing I'll be careful of that in future. The doors don't lock if you leave the car unlocked with the roof down, not much point I suppose. My previous convertible had dead locks, much more secure than the Copen. Not just for parking with the roof down but deadlocks stop anybody smashing a window and getting in. All cars should have them.
