Opening Cover

    Hi,I have just brought a Copen 2004 and I am looking and learning what I can about the lil Beast.
    I see in the handbook that there should be or was a Opening cover as seen on page 2-19 till 2-23 has any one got theirs do? do you use it?

    That cover was an optional extra.
    I don't think many people use it because you have to first remove it from its storage in the boot, then take roof off, then manually put the cover in place.
    And if you want to put the roof up again, you have to manually remove the cover then put roof up before it can go in its bag in the boot.
    My Copen didn't come with it but It sounds like a bit of a hassle so I'm not sure if it is used often by people who have one.

    Here's some pictures I found online.
    The bag that stores it is located at the back of the boot, so accessing it when the roof is down is impossible.

    And when it's in place it locks to the little pegs across the top behind the roll bar.
    This means your Copen needs the mounting points to be able to install and store it, and copens that weren't optioned with this cover don't have those mounting points.

    It does look nice though, but maybe not worth the trouble

    I'm getting my 2004 Copen, owned since new, back on the road and while investigating in the boot I found this cover for the first time!
    This car never ceases to amaze :)
