My daughter got married on Saturday and used Rosie as her wedding car. I had a lovely 2.5 hour drive up from where we live to Chester (where she was getting married) on the Friday afternoon. This was the furthest I have driven Rosie and it was great fun with the top down and music playing. Saturday morning arrived bright and sunny - just the day for a topless ride to Chester Zoo (where Emma was getting married). Ian went out to give Rosie a final polish before we started to decorate her. All was going well until I tried to shut the passenger door and discovered it wouldn't close. With a bit of persuasion we managed to get it to shut, but then we couldn't open it! Time to call out the RAC, who turned up 10 minutes later. (They were told it was a wedding car) and a very nice man called Danny managed to sort out the problem for us, but told us not to lock the door as it may not unlock again! Emma arrived at the zoo on time and Rosie (or should that be Emma) received a lot of admiring looks as they drove through the zoo to the Manor House where she was getting married. p.s The car door has locked and unlocked without any problem since then, and Danny wants me to send him the picture of him fixing Rosie and may appear in their magazine!
I love a story with a happy ending. Perhaps Rosie was just a little nervous? That's a big responsibility for a little car. Glad she came through for Emma in the end, and Rosie looks great! Would have been nice to see a picture of her with the happy couple though...
Hope it wasn't one of those big fat gypsy type weddings with the massive dresses. You'd have to shoehorn the bride into a Copen wearing one of those. That's the second Copen wedding car we've had on here, I might start hiring mine out. Anybody got a chauffeurs uniform going spare?
Will post a picture of bride (groom never went in the car) when I've got one and she was told she couldn't have a huge dress with a long train as she wouldn't fit in!
Magic, Redliz - Rosie looks great! Old Badger's MLC did great service as a wedding car for their son last year. Looking forward to more photos!
