Hello I am a happy proud owner of 2015 Copen from Malaysia; Copen is a very nice car to drive but bit under power and slightly spongy brakes (may be possible to improve the brakes by changing the OEM brake hoses to SS braided hose).
Any suggestion on mild modification to increase the engine power by 20-25% without changing to bigger turbo or remapping of ECU if available.
    George

Air filters and exhausts may help get a little bit more power, but I think to get the most noticeable gains an ecu remap or a piggy back ecu (like the one d sport sells) will be necessary.
Below I'll link some company's that sell aftermarket parts for the LA400K.

Thank you, I will visit my mechanic next week to evaluate the availability of after market sports air-filter such as K&N etc. to suit the car., as for ECU,
Thank you my friend, much appreciated for your kind input.
I had visited "Halfway" site but it sound like it is not off the shelve ECU unit but will require special setting to suit each specific engine, and I am not too sure there are local specialist on this car as I believe there are less than 10 units of Copen in Malaysia as it was evident when I tried to purchase insurance on the vehicle, and three insurance companies' officers were not sure what was Daihatsu Copen .
The air filter modification looks easy to adapt. As the car comes with Bilstien shock absorber, will wait for the engine upgrade before one decides on upgrade the suspension; the car wears 195x45x16" rim.
