Only came with 1 x key and 1 x fob and I'm a nightmare with losing things!!!! Anybody have any ideas where the best place is to get a new key and fob - can't see the number on the key.....it's a 2008. I'm in London..... thanks
I think the car only came with one fob. You can get a key cut at Timpsons using the one you have for them to clone. I had one cut at Timpons for £25 nearly two years ago. There are threads on here about keys and the fobs so have a search of the forums. It's unleaded petrol. They haven't made cars that took 4 star for decades now if not longer.
one fob but lots of keys - at least I got 4 with mine which is bizarre really - unless it's one for each person and a spare for each.
If memory serves, 1991 was when leaded was banned. You should have gotten two keys - a black one, and a grey one. The black one is the master key. Any place that does key cutting with immobiliser chips will be able to do it. One guy wanted €70 for a new key - told him where to stick it. I only got one fob. It does not look like the fob can be cloned, at least easily. I have attempted cloning with a few other fobs (mainly the one for my underground car park) with no luck.
Thanks for the help - will head to local key cutter. Next daft question........where is the fuel cap release switch .......... Need petrol and thought. I'd check it out before I look like a complete plonker at the petrol station!!!!!!! I must be blind cos I can't see it anywhere .....really need the user manual!!!!!! Thanks!
its in the compartment between the seats. A small level right at the back and bottom of the compartment.
