    Hi everyone, I have just purchased a 2006 copen and will receive it next week. I have a few issues to ask about;
    1/ Does anyone know when the timing belt/chain needs replacing (my car has 31000miles)

    2/ The roof has a metallic knocking sound above the passenger door, roof works fine but can't find problem.

    3/ Does the car have any particular rust issues?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Justandcal, Welcome to Copenworld.
    Going by the year of your Copen, I'd guess it's the turbo engined version.
    In which case it has a timing chain that does not need replacing.

    The roof does create a lot of rattle noises. I'd suggest lubricating all the hinge points with a bit of WD40. See if that stops the noise. You can also tighten the roof by a small adjustment in the latches. Look in the features tab at the top of the forum for a how to fixing roof rattles.

    Yes Copen's are prone to catching the rust worm. Most common areas are the rear wheel arches.
