Tunedtimer, perhaps you should start a new thread in the modification section rather than asking here.

Very rare combination, steel-grey with tan leather.

    Hi Tunedtimer.

I notice from some of your pictures that you have replaced the original airbox with a chrome type air filter. Just wondered whether the engine suffered from any form of heat soak? Reason I ask is that I also replaced my OEM box with a Cold Feed Induction Kit, with the cold air feed taken from outside of the engine bay, so nice pure cold air. Would be very interested to understand your experiences with an air feed from within the bay?

    With thanks...

Hi Lotuseater,i think that your copen is turbo. The turbo cars needs a different Cold Feed Induction Kit.My engine dont suffer from any form of heat soak and i know becauce i ve a OBD-II Car Diagnostic Interface Scanner to see : Intake Air Temperature,Air Flow Rate and Coolant Temperature, plus my air/fuel meter.I upload photos of a turbo air filter(0.7 L) and a 1.3 air filter to see the difference.

I think that solution cost a lot of money and the cold air in that case comes from 7cm hole same as the original daihatsu air filter box.So i guess i was wrong about turbo. If you are not sure about the result of your cold induction intake you can put a OBD-II Car Diagnostic Interface Scanner to see your Intake Air Temperature,Air Flow Rate and Coolant Temperature and compare it with my solution, Lotuseater.I have no heat problem with my air filter even i m living in a country with high Temperatures especially at summer months and my copen goes well at every season of the year:)
