I've been driving my beloved Copen for more then a year. I'd just welcomed a newborn recently, so I am seriously considering to change to a 4 door sedan. As such, I've decided to share some pics of my Copen before saying goodbye. The car started out in gray, with cute retro rims to complete the look. Drove for a month before the modifying bug hits me. Swopped the rims and did a custom paint job. Imported several parts from Japan to complete the look.
Agree, it looks wonderful. Would you mind sharing some infos about it? I was looking for a set of wheels like yours, and maybe will have the roof wrapped in black. Are the calipers new? Thanks
This set of wheels are replicas and they are easily found here in sunny Singapore. Regarding the calipers, they are actually grade-A brake covers from Japan; Brand's WeberSport. Been using them for more then a year without problems. The slotted discs were ordered from eBay. Some of the brake calipers that can clear 15 inchers are ENDLESS from Japan, IASATI from Taiwan, or Wilwood. For me, good brakes and rotors are good enough.
Unluckily, the only clones I can find are too wide (7J and up)... Is there anyone who found decently priced wheels for sale in Europe? (Yes, I've seen the entire Sparco, Avus, MSW, MAM, RC design, MAK, Ronal, Alutec, Rial, Dezent catalogue and the only ones that are slightly near to my likings are the MSW 85. Anyway, your car proves the fact that factory brakes would look silly with that kind of wheels!
Could you say information about your wheel and tire, please? Size tire, size rims and wide and offset?
Sharing a few more details. The blue mirrors show alot more of the surroundings and eliminate blind spots compared to the OEM mirrors, while the glare reduction is more noticeable during night driving. Imported Blitz Sus Power intake and covered it with a hydro sock. The final image I'm sharing. A ChoroQ toy.....which kinda melted under the hot sun. This pic was taken before the melt, LOL. It is with a heavy heart as I handed my Copen keys over to a new happy owner today. One year seemed so short. May the new owner enjoy the ride as much as I did.
