    Hi all,

    Unfortunately failed MOT today
    - near side front strut has excessive movement at upper attachment.
    - offside rear wheel bearing has excessive play.

I'm not a mechanic by any means but I do carry out my own services, oil changes, brakes etc.
Are these tasks doable for an amateur? Is it better to do both wheel bearings at the same time? Should I get the complete strut rather than just the upper attachment?

Your help and advice is appreciated.

    David

    Cheers Dunf.

I'm in Cowdenbeath. Is yours the one parked on Townhill Rd?
