    Hi All,
I am considering buying a 2006 Copen. I have not seen the car as it is in Portugal but have seen photos. Before traveling to see the car I as hoping somebody on here can help me. In the photos the 2 roll hoops behind the seats are missing. The owner says she has owned the car since 2006 and it came like that. Is this normal or should I be suspicious? Cheers Ian

I wouldn’t touch it. The hoops are part of the structure and provide protection in case the car flips over, with or without the roof up.

Many thanks. Seems strange that they are missing if they were an integral part of the car. The owner is Portuguese so the language barrier is proving difficult. Do you know if they ever made them without the hoops?

Look for another one. There are never made without the rollbar. It's a safety part, if that's missing, imagine what else could be wrong with the car.

It's better to be safe than sorry. I would look for a different car. The roll hoops are essential if the car rolls; especially if the roof is down.
