just wondering how many keys have you guys got with your copens and what do they look like ? also what age is your copen if it makes any difference to key sets ?
dwayner we bought our copen from the dealer as a new car - it had 3 keys identicial - one on a remote. plus another key slighty different, which can also be used to star the car, but is primarily to lock the glove box and centre console storage bin. over the years, one of the 3 broke in half. so 4 keys were supplied with the car.
I have 3 keys and two remotes. One of the keys is the master key and is black compared to the others which are slightly greyer. I also have a metal tag with a number on it. Apparently the master key and tag make getting replacement keys easier from Daihatsu although I am sure there are ways round it.
I have only one key and one remote Stupid dealership lost the spares when I was buying the car and I've just never gotten round to getting another set made up. I really should considering I'm always paranoid either myself or a garage is going to lose that one and only key
Timpsons can clone a key, you don't need the black master to get a copy. They charged me 25 pounds which is reasonable compared to dealer prices.
yeah when i got my copen i only got 2 grey keys with aftermarket alarm fobs for both... mines a vivid 04 and id be interested to know Adam K's keyset as he has a vivid too
