Copenistas, My life has been characterised by self sacrifice. As soon as I saved up for a little luxury the cash was stolen away for more worthwhile things (the bairns need new shoes, the boiler has died, the roof is leaking, you know the story). Well, two years ago I decided to get serious about owning a Copen but had nowhere to keep it so I set about building a garage which was passed by the building inspector last week. Lo and behold Gumtree threw up a 03 OLO, FSH mint Copen with 41K on the clock and just 10 miles away. She is now sitting in the garage waiting to be insured and to have the wheel arches painted. I'm astonished at the build quality of this car which was £13,290.00 on the road. Now, where can I get two leather flying helmets ? Ned
Congrats Ned. Looks like you've been interested in the Copen for a long time - I hope we can get photos, and photos of your mods throughout your ownership of the Copen. Does she / he have a name?
I've got an enormous smile on my face! Gents, I got the Copen legal on 1st of January but she refused to come out of the garage as it was raining hard. Today dawned bright and sunny and she was raring to go. Mrs Ned and I wrapped up in woolies turned on the heated seats and shot off round the country lanes . The Copen did not disappoint, lively as a kitten. It isn't long before you start feeling sorry for folks with people carriers, Chelsea tractors and well, ordinary cars. Only thing was the steering wheel is not 'central' when the car is going straight. Ah, life can be sweet sometimes ........ PS can't find the start a new thread button
Glad to hear you're enjoying it. You can centralise the steering wheel by adjusting the track rod ends on each end of the steering rack.
My steering wheel was not ' central ' but when i had my new tyres fitted it's now ' central ' ? Go figure!!!!!. Check your tyre tread depths you may need new tyres!!!
