Came across the car below which looks a little bit sorry for itself. I emailed the seller to ask about the price of one wheel, stating that I wasn't bothered about going through eBay and would pay cash on collection. He emailed me back with a price of £90 for one wheel. Is this in any way a decent price or is he having a bit of a laugh..
I want one wheel to carry as a spare plus I can use it to put on the car while I remove each wheel in turn to do a bit of touching up inside the spokes.

    another one bites the dust!

I can't make out if it has a baked beans tin on it ;)

I got one for about £40 including postage from the SE....... no not a baked beans tin....... and had plenty of tread in it. Although alloy was scratched quite significantly, but I thought its an emergency thing so wasn't too concerned.

I thought 90 seemed a bit of a joke but with the cars rarity wasn't sure.
I could buy an aftermarket wheel and put a decent tyre on for less than his price.
Do you carry the spare around with you in the boot? Does it sit in the well so you can still pull the blind over and drop the roof?
I wonder if there is a space saver from another car that would fit? If anybody knows let me know please.

As for the car in the link I just hope the driver got out ok, it looks nasty

The bean tin? Hah, I knew you'd fire that bit of sarcasm back at me, but being as its PM stuff nobody knows what you are on about.:D

I've had it in the boot but never tried it under the blind. Was never my aim. I don't carry it around with me. Its for if I go on a long journey when got bags and stuff so I wouldn't be putting the top down anyway. So if its too big for that its not going to be an issue.

Reassured to hear that it's not going to be an issue if it's too big. You obviously have a very understanding partner who is especially accommodating....even in the driver's seat apparently!! :D:eek::eek:

Nothing to do with beans just the can they were in.
In a pm conversation with foxy I told him about something I'd done which made the seatbelts retract much better and something else I was going to do to hopefully improve retraction.
Mr Fox replied that other people were doing power tunes and other mods and I was concerned with a seatbelt. I said that my belt is often loose across me and I'd rather fix that life saving item than stick an empty bean tin on the end of my exhaust to give an impression of power.
    I don't even like beans.:D
