Howdy fellow Copenites! (Would you call yourselves that or is that just me?) :p

I had no idea there were so many folks out there that love the Copen as much as I do or that even forums like this existed... and I've had my Copen for almost six bleedin' years!

Anyway I'm here now and ready to bombard many poor unsuspecting forum members with my 613513436556 questions (because let's face it- there's always something to learn about a Copen)... providing y'all don't get sick of me too quickly :D

    Cheers,

    Rocketgirl

    Hi Rocketgirl, Welcome to Copenworld.
The search function on the top right of the welcome page works well.
Type in a word you trying to find out something on & the chances are there's a thread on it.
    Or just ask. Fire away.

Oh my, thanks for the nice welcome you guys! :D

To trustafox: Chris -or Chris Button- as my Copen is affectionately called (I can fill you in the reasons behind the name choice if you're interested ;)) is silver and currently in the works for mods (I just recently had the original rims refurbed in gloss black :p). Next on the list is a respray- unfortunately with living in a coastal town and lacking a garage, the salty sea air has made areas of my beloved car rather poor looking thanks to the rust :(

But once it's all fixed and done up in it's new colours I reckon it'll look cracking ;)

To DaG and Adam K: Thank you again for the welcome, also to Adam K the search function has indeed been quite enlightening, although my current dilemma doesn't appear to have any sort of thread  methinks I better start one in the proper forum section (or here if it's easier/better?) :)

what colour are you having it painted or the same silver where required?

How much did the wheel respray cost, I may at some point consider having them painted but for now they are in too good a condition and I want to spend on other things first

    Hi tunedtimer, and thanks ;)

trustafox, my refurbs cost 200 quid which included balancing, alignment, and new valves. They even gave me nice new dust caps (which was lovely considering I originally had only one before the refurb )

Just for the record I only had mine refurbed because the rims were in a right state and causing air leakage, which obviously isn't very good

The only thing is the place I went to doesn't do anything to the center caps so they're still silver- which kinda looks okay anyway? Which reminds me, I'm actually missing one of those center caps- anyone know where I can get one? Or even a set since knowing my luck I get just the one and yet ANOTHER will fly off never to be seen again

Oh and as for the paintwork... depends on what the insurance company thinks, although if I read things right my insurance company wouldn't care if I have it painted luminous green, as long as I don't drive around like a prat :p

Being serious for a minute I'm hoping to have the whole car fully resprayed a high gloss black with contrasting custom graphics. It'll take a while to get this done but when it's finished I might even post some pics :)

    Me too :D

Yep, always start a new thread when changing the subject. It's easier to find the topic again later.
