It is something you have to get used to . you will also hear them playing the "can you guess what it is game" as they walk past your driveway!
The looks I tend to get are less "look at that amazingly cool car!" and more "what the hell is that tiny little thing? Is that a real car?"

As the kid walked away with his dad, I heard him say "...and I saw a clean one once..." It's a shame you can't hit children these days, especially other peoples'... Rich
