Just been outside to have a look - its a metal fuel cap cover but seems to be a problem with the catch as it does sit flush if you push it in a couple of mm

Misfire im fingers crossed is fixed - its done less than 500 mile in 2 year and even then its been on short journeys so im hoping my bottle of injector cleaner and a good drive has done the trick.

Oil is somewhere under the cover going to take it off tomorrow and investigate it wasn't there when I looked at the car just appeared on the way home :/

I thought it might be a a stick over cover and the thickness of the cover made it not sit flush. Like this one off ebay.....

The fuel flap is held closed by a spring loaded plunger and you might be able to bend the tag the plunger goes into to make it close a bit tighter.
Anyway, best of luck with the problems.

Hi SarahB, welcome to Copenworld. I see Trustafox & DAG have been looking after you.
Silver Minilites were a genuine accessory option from Daihatsu. They work well on a Black Copen.
500 miles in 2 years. If it hasn't had a oil change in that period, I'd get that sorted.
My guess is the oil leak is from the oil filter joint.
