Hi, I've just bought a 2004 Black Copen from a lovely lady down in Holmfirth. She's came up to live in the sunny North East with me today and having never seen another one locally before noticed another silver one in Asda today!
Hi Sarah and welcome to Copenworld. I'll keep an eye out for a black Copen, don't think I've seen a black one locally since I got mine. There's a yellow Copen that I've seen a few times around Washington and sunderland. There's a couple of silvers and a grey buzzing around as well. Mines grey, I'll give you a wave if I see you
That must be the other grey Copen I see now and again. Anyway South Tyneside doesn't have a Morrison's just a massive Asda.
Im in South Shields we have a morrisons and an asda but I have to admit Im an asda shopper although I ve promised Connie the Copen she wont get asda smart price oil
No don't put that stuff in it though Trustafox has a theory that cheap oil regularly changed is better than expensive oil rarely changed. Yes I forgot South Shields is in South Tyneside I was thinking of Boldon when I said there was no Morrisons. The old Asda at shields is a Morrison's now but king street is getting a bit desperate of late. I see one of the Greg's has shut, obesity should go down as a bonus though.
Very desperate - I was down there today looking for a personalised key ring for the car as you do and half the shops are empty :-( This is her first trip to asda today
Personal taste - there just not mine, they seem out of place although the lady I bought the car off did say they really grew on her so Im going to give it a couple of weeks and see if they do the same to me
The minilite alloys look good, I thought they only did them in gold though. Is that a replacement fuel cap or a stick on fake cover over the original? The main advice on here given to a new owner of a turbo charged Copen is to change the oil and the filter at the correct interval. Turbo failure is a very expensive repair on these cars, regular oil changes help to prevent it.
Pass on the alloys I ll have to have a good look tomorrow and see if they were originally gold - quite possibly. The fuel cap I don't know whats going on with its on my to do list to have a look at as its not sitting flush to the car but today we've been dealing with a misfire and tomorrow we have the oil leak to deal with first its trying to change its own oil at the minute :/
There is stuff on here about misfires and how to cure them, did you get it fixed? Where is the oil leaking from? The fuel cap is probably a stick on cover that goes over the original. That would explain why it isn't sitting flush.
