Welcome Gary!! I took delivery of mine about two weeks ago, and it still makes me grin stupidly when I look out the window and see it sitting in the drive. I'm hoping FINALLY to be able to see it with the roof down this weekend if the weather is kind to me. Tell us a bit more about yours
Its a silver with red leather seats and also has silver rings around the air vents inside which I have not Sean many with. My copen also has a metal plate around the two exhaust on the back bumper again I have not sen this on other copens. The last owner has also but red stripes down the midle of the car unsure if I am going to take these off or leave them one will decied after a few days. I will post some pics when I get my car.
Copens are like rocky horse manure up here. Im in East Herrington and have only seen three in the NE since I first took an interest in the cars last April. I'll look out for a silver with red stripes when I'm buzzing around Durham. If you see a grey Copen give a wave, it'll probably be me.
I know of a dark green one for sale near Yarm but as you say I have not seen any my self on the roads and I drive a bit on the roads in Durham and Teesside In fact I'm getting mine from down south.
I got mine from Doncaster after looking for months in the north east. There was a yellow car for sale near the Arnison centre but I thought it was a canny bit over priced so backed off. The dealer reduced the price so I went back and he'd already sold it. I quite liked a champagne coloured car that was for sale down Chesterfield, 2007 and low miles. I didn't fancy driving all the way down there only to find that had been sold so lost out on that car as well. Copen's just don't seem to be popular up here.
From Durham myself. Grey Copen also (on a 07 plate) Not seen the red stripe beast yet, still may do on my daily trip through Durham.
Hi When I say I'm in Durham I meant County Durham I live in Darlington but work in Teesside I picked up my Copen on Sunday and really enjoyed the drive back up north. I do have one problem through and thats the car only came with one key and thats the spare. I phoned the local Daihatsu Dealer and found out it would be £240 for the remote and key. I have since seen on e-bay you can buy alarms with remote locking for about £30.00 dose anyone know if its ok to wire these in so I have remote locking. Below pitures of my Copen
Looks a pretty fully loaded Copen. Skirt set, spoiler, chrome covers for the washer jets, silver covers for the air vents. Nice
