Hi guys and girls I am look g at buying a copen ( obviously lol ) Any tips or advice in helping me choose between a older model or newer yaris engine ? I no this is mainly personal preference ,but I mainly looking for reliability etc ,I am not concerned about body work as I can do that . Any tips of what to look for or help to get me started in looking I would be really grateful Plus the prices seem to be all over the place depending on the person selling I will read as many posts on hear and ,hopefully be a proud Owner soon Thanks for any help Funkster
Take a look at the buyers guide - https://www.copenworld.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=1078&highlight=buyers+guide The 0.7L has a turbo that can be pricey to replace (cannot be refurbished) and the oil change interval is 3000miles / 5000km / 6 months (whatever comes first).
Thank you number 6 Yes read that and very helpful thank you Regarding different engine s ,I suppose I need to drive both and see how different they are ,obviously the price difference is quite large as well , I'm thinking so long as the smaller size turbo engine has been serviced all the time with good oil and filter changes then these are fine . I don't want to get in to what's best etc just looking for some fun but would like it to be reliable ,bodywork colour etc not an issue for me as that's what i used to do and can still borrow a friends oven if need be .
Regarding the engine, people always seem to like whatever engine they buy, so don't worry, as long as there is a good service history. Rex.
engine makes a difference if you are going to be doing a lot of miles. If you are not then get either.
