Hi Mike. Are there many Copens on the road in OZ or your area of it? There are only about two thousand in the UK and I was just wondering if Daihatsu had sold very many over there.
No, not many in Australia. I think they did sell some in 2003 or 2004 but not many and after that Daihatsu stop selling in Australia. So there are not many copen in Au, and Very hard to meet it on the road.
just replaced the stand headunit today and nice cruise around. Found very hard to get modified parts in au, expensive shipping fee to Oder from uk or jp.

Hi Mike, welcome to copenworld. I am in Melbourne and a few other members are down this way too, some quite experience copenworld folks who do a lot of posts. I see one or two copens down here , indeed a white twin of mine was spotted just the other day. If you need parts, a designated Toyota dealer here does a good job of getting them so if you have trouble up Sydney way I can let you know who in Melbourne. By the way I think I read or saw somewhere (maybe in a thread here on copenworld) that there were about 175 sold in AUS over the 2003-2005 period.
Hello Mike, Welcome on the Copenworld community I am surprised that a so small amount of Copen was sold in Australia The reason why is that, on service manual (available on the site), it is stated some special characteristics for Australia (as cooling system for instance), also I imagined Australia was a big export country for Daihatsu.
