Good Evening everyone, A fellow Copen owner in the North East here, well ok it's my wife's car and she loves it. She's had it for three years following five years of Cappuccino ownership. I've already found this forum to be an extremely useful source of information for all things Copen related so many thanks for this. If only I could find a gear knob for the thing my life would be complete, hens teeth spring to mind. Anyway I hope to be on the forum more often and contributing in any way I can. Cheers John
Hi John, welcome to Copenworld. I was looking at a gear knob in of all places Poundstretcher. It was very similar to the Copen knob and tapped onto the stick no grub screw involved. It was reduced to £5.99 and I toyed with buying one but it was too similar to the existing so it seemed pointless. So give PS a try, you might like this as an alternative. I'm guessing you live at Ingleby Barwick, there is bound to be a PS near you. Maybe not.
Many thanks for this, I agree it seems a little odd but I'll give them a try. I'm sure there'll be a store around here somewhere
http://forums.mg-rover.org/showthread.php?t=412759 That knob I mentioned was held by screws I got that wrong. There's a Pic in the link above but it looks better in the packaging, in the shop. A better but more pricey alternative would be a Momo gear knob like below. A good choice for a Copen considering the Momo interior. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Momo-King...282&pid=100015&prg=1006&rk=1&sd=271117012750&
