Help! My battery went completely flat during the recent cold snap... I used a battery booster on the terminals for the ten seconds it took to start my copen up... as soon as I hooked car up to trickle charger... hazard lights started to flash and haven't stopped since! Pressing the hazard button on the dash has no effect. I've had to unhook the battery entirely to stop lights. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards Dav
Does it have an aftermarket alarm on it? Check every fuse just to be sure. Especially fuse 7 (engine bay) and 3 (in the car) Unplug the hazard warning switch and see if it still does it. The ITC ecu also connects to the hazards, this is the remote central locking controller - this is under the dashboard above the glovebox somewhere I think - but I have never had to take it out! There is really only 4 ways the hazards can be flashing:- 1) faulty hazard switch 2) ITC ecu issue 3) aftermarket alarm issue 4) Faulty flasher relay
You need to pull the glovebox out to get access to the ITC ECU. I think the Engine ECU is in there as well. My money is on a relay.
