Daihatsu Vehicle Distributors Ltd are selling off accessories for a bargin price. A complete set of skirts for £150 a bargain. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=190855094655&index=15&nav=SEARCH&nid=08883699363 http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=190855093180&index=17&nav=SEARCH&nid=04575252467 http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=190855091942&index=16&nav=SEARCH&nid=22626858170 Spolier http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=190855084724&index=23&nav=SEARCH&nid=69444658037 Exhaust deflector http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem? itemId=190855086767&index=21&nav=SEARCH&nid=63299308089 Get in quick before they're gone. I've bought a set of Gold Minilites from the seller already
damn! - more money i'll be spending. not sure the other bits are worth my while though - not sure exactly how the car will look better with them than without. although they might make it look a bit more chavvy in time for my subwoofer fitting
I've just ordered an exhaust deflector, I am trying to resist the skirts and minilites but they are soooooo tempting
Heard back from the seller, he isn't a wholesale business. He is actually Daihatsu Vehicle Distributors Ltd, so you can buy in confidence. No grills left but there are more items to come so keep checking ebay.
I am considering the skirts and exhaust deflector, any advice on how easy they will be to fit? Mine is an 04 0.7
Looking at my exhaust deflector, I think it's secured with double sided tape, then screwed in place. The side skirts stick on with double sided tape & is screwed from underneath into the plastic bungs on the bottom of the sills. The front & rear skirts again have double sided tape, but also require holes drilling in the bumpers. I would've thought the kits would supplied with templates for hole drilling. With an instruction sheet written in Japanese.
Advice please... Would anyone be able to confirm if this product is what I should be considering using to apply the heat guard to the rear panel? www.amazon.co.uk/Tiger-Seal-TIG-NB-Polyurethane/dp/B002SQY852/ref=pd_cp_auto_0#productDetails New to this, sorry! Just don't want to loose it having used something not up to the job... This may be useful to dsb too?! I'd welcome any pointers from an experienced adder of bits to their Copen, thank you Garry
All the bits you buy will come with everything you need to fix them on in the pack. You don't need to buy anything. I believe Forum member KEN fitted a skirt set himself. He gave me some pointers when I was fitting my second hand set. The spoiler is bolted on & also has double sided tape.
got the spoiler today - i'm probably mr naïve because it didn't occur to me that i'd have to drill holes in the boot - think i'll have to pay someone to fit it for me. some new things up today - liked the look of the body stripes until I saw they were £60 - for some stickers !? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Daihatsu-Copen-Stripe-Kit-in-White-/190855942597
He's got alloy clutch foot rests and also alloy pedal sets. Gear knobs, body stripes and those chrome rings for around the air vents. His page is like an Aladin's cave of Copen accessories at reasonable prices. His postage is high for some small items though, yet he gives free postage on £50 minilites. Very strange.
Here's the original accessory list with 2004 prices. https://www.copenworld.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=588&highlight=accessory+list
I thought much the same thing when I took the Heat Guard out of the box to find 7 nuts and bolts that required holes drilling Dreaded the thought of taking a drill to my Copen but its done now and looks great If I have a tip then it's to use masking tape, in the same way as when drilling tiles, and you can't go wrong... Well... Garry.
looks like someone has been on a spending spree as all the alloy bits - footpedals, air vents, gearstick knob have disappeared. plus all the skirts etc.
Thanks to everyone for flagging the sale of Copen items on ebay - box arrived today full of lots of shiny bits! Like Christmas! Had a quick look again and there appears to be a few more items added, brake pads, air and oil filters........ Thanks again.
