Hi, I'm new to this site and Copen's in general. I am looking at getting an imported Generation 2 and am interested in finding out if anyone has already done this, if so where and who was it imported form?
Also interested in service centre's throughout the country to look after this model + Service charges and intervals, parts availability etc.
    Kind regards,
    Si

Used to have a White Copen, but I sold it in 2023
The Daihatsu dealers that are still left probably do not know anything in particular about this new model as it is only for the asian market. Maybe you can call ahead and ask if they are able to get parts for it from Japan (especially oil filters if they have a different size than the Gen1 model).

Repairing it should not be too difficult as all daihatsus are similarly built, so there will probably be no surprises

Thank you for the quick reply, I'll do some digging around and see what I can find out.
    Kind regards, Si

There are a few in the country and I believe a couple in the Copen UK Facebook group have done it, but I can't find the posts I remember.
There's a bunch of specialist companies that import Japanese cars, one of those would probably be your best bet but I don't know who's good or bad or what your costs might be.

These guys seem to have experience with the new Copens at least, but I just found them on google. Car Imports Direct
