Some may have read my posts about getting my 2004 Copen back on the road and everything seemed to be going well.....
About a month ago it wouldn't start and I realised I couldn't hear the fuel pump prime, so I banged it with a rubber mallet and it cleared the obstruction. Yay!
Last week the little darling, after 50km and getting me to work decided it wasn't working any more, despite gentle banging with the mallot again....
Got Baby towed home, dropped the fuel tank and omfg, fists full of gunk, there must have been a kilo of it in there. I didn't take pictures because I was up to my elbows in fuel and gunk! Argh!
Anyways, cleaned that out, got a new fuel pump, discovered the fuse had blown so replaced that too and after another 20 hours work back on the road LoL....
I'm thinking I probably need a new fuel tank for longevity?

Does the fuel pump have an effective filter on it for all that gunk? I don't think the Copen has a seperate filter does it? Wonder if it's worth trying to install one?
