After purchasing the car, I found this in the boot! Can anyone tell me where it should live? Does it even belong to my Copen? :)) Thanks for looking!

That does belong in the boot. Either side of where the boot divider fits into it's location point are rubber bungs. This is one of them. You should see the hole where it fits.

Aha.. many thanks Adam. Will go and look now. So there should be one on each side? Are they floor mounted? Hmm. Looks like one's missing then.

Here's one picture, you can just make the bung out at the bottom.

Hmm. One found under the boot mat ( the one I photographed), the other is missing completely! I guess they support the roof when folded? Any thoughts as to where I may be able to get one? I doubt Daihatsu will have, although ...

Hi Adnan, That is the Tonneau cover. It was an optional extra for most Copens. Some special editions had it as standard.

    Thanks Adam.

If you ever get the chance to put it up on the Copen can you please take a picture and share it here please.

Just want to see if it looks any good then I might try to get one.

I have noticed something recently that when I have the blowers on and I stop at the lights or junction I can smell a burning smell (similar to hot iron smell). Do you or anyone else has an idea what it could be off and if it could be serious ? The temperature needle stays in the middle on the temperature gauge and the blowers are on cold so I am just a bit confuse and worried

No. Didn't get anything done recently. I could only smell it when the car is static and the smell goes away once its back in motion. Its only done over 1000 miles since last service.

My first thought was burning oil from an oil leak somewhere. In the past I've found that you can smell that more when your stationary.
When you get to your destination, whilst the engine is running. Take a look under the bonnet. See if you can pin point the location of the smell.

Found in the boot ... now a scratch appears!

Adam, having replaced the rubber bushes that were missing when I purchased the Copen, I've now found that the roof is being scratched whilst folded! Grrr.
This only seems to be happening on the drivers side, ( small round circular mark) rear. Searching through the forum I see that someone mentioned checking for this a few years back. This has only happened since I replaced the roof frame support bushes as in the first post. Lol! Any thoughts appreciated. :-((

Can't help you with that.
First time I've heard about that issue.
    I don't have a problem with mine.
Are the marks on the top bit of the roof or in the back bit with the window in?
