Hi everyone! I know there are a lot of threads on here with people saying there boot isn't opening. Well I found what the issue was with mine and I hope this helps others! I opened the boot manually using the cable located in the bottom of the console. Where the boot latch is , I took the plastic covering off of it and also removed the motor and latch system itself. Upon doing this I found that a cog had broken. Whenever I tried to open the boot electronically (using key fob and button located in console) I could hear the little motor turning over but the boot wouldn't pop open. I hope this helps those of you who are stuck!
I called Toyota cmi in Adelaide. They wanted to sell me the whole boot system and that's $1089 when all I need is a cog. So no not yet
