Engine misfires when accelerating at 5,000 rpm in all gears

    Second-hand 0.7l fitted.

Hmmmm replacement engine in, sounds and feels good.

One issue, when accelerating hard, in all 5 gears, as the engine hits 5,000 rpm the engine cuts out for a fraction of a second, then comes back.

It feels like a cutout, a blip, a bump, a hiccup and then keeps firing running.

Happens in all the gears as the engine hits 5,000rpm.

At this stage, it does not feel at all like coil pack issues. Especially not as it is at the same RPM and in 5 gears.

Could it be an ECU, engine mapping, engine management problem?

Any suggestions for what it might be and fixes, please?

    Thanks

    Ceri

Mine done this when I first strapped a Boost valve on. It was trying to build the boost up to much. The ECU wasn't programmed to handle the sort of boost it was trying to give so the engine would cut out for a split second then come back to life. When I turned the boost down, it went back to normal.
Do you have any after market mods done in the engine bay? If so what do you have?

No mods - just an engine swap for a dead engine. A used engine and used turbo.

I will pass this on to the mechanic thanks Sticky
